Pablo Neruda
Seminars are led by Tomas Johnson, who lives in St. Paul, MN and San Cristobal de las Casas, in the state of Chiapas, and has organized and lead many trips to this area of Mexico.
Trips are from 1-2 weeks long and they are held twice per year. Themes vary depending on the social and political environment at the time, and on travelers' requests.
Acomodations vary depending on personal preference; from rustic housing to modern hotels.
Tomas's long association with indigenous Mayan people gives visitors a truly unique and informed picture of the political and cultural life in Chiapas and Oaxaca.
